Sunflower Eating birds - Knowledgebase Question

Every year my garden is full of Sunflowers that the finches devistate before I've been able to enjoy there beauty. Is there anything I can spray them with so they don't get gobbled up by the birds--w/o hurting either bird or plant?

There's nothing you can spray on them but you can drape bird netting over the heads. Not very attractive, but it's one way to protect the seeds. I grow sunflowers specifically for the birds - I think they make attractive, natural birdfeeders!

Best wishes with your garden!
