| What would cause the leaves to fall from young citrus trees? I do not have snails or slugs, those are under control. The stems are green. How would I treat and solve the problem? |
| Because citrus trees are broadleaf evergreens, they tend to drop some of their oldest leaves during the summer months when new foliage is being developed. This is nothing to worry about and is perfectly natural. If your tree is dropping new as well as old leaves, it could be a sign of water stress. Water deeply once a week (twice if the weather is really hot) to make sure your tree has adequate moisture to make it through the heat of summer. |
