|I just planted Daises for the first time this year. However, only 1 to 2 flowers bloom at once on them (I bought 3 plants). Once they die then 1 or 2 more bloom. One of the plants after it loss it's original blooms nothing ever bloom on it again. What I am I doing wrong?|
|To some extent this depends on what kind of daisies you planted. Gerbera or Gerber Daisies for instance bloom best in cool weather and will stop when the summer turns hot.
The perennial Shasta type daisies will bloom for several weeks in early summer. The faded flowers should be trimmed off regularly to encourage additional flowering. Also, the plant will perform best if planted in full sun and given rich, evenly moist yet well drained soil. If your plants are very young, they may need another year to become fully established and bloom their best. Finally, with good care they may rebloom later in the summer or fall.
I hope this helps.
