I have to dogwood trees. I'd like to take cuttings and root them.
What would be the best way to do this. Thank You

My sources suggest that dogwoods are difficult to propagate from cuttings but that they can be easily propagated from seeds. So, I suggest you try both methods. Cuttings are taken in the spring from new growth; dip the cut end in rooting hormone and place each in moistened sand. Keep the sand moist and the cuttings should root in a few weeks. Hope this works for you!
