Can I cut a stem of the plam and plant it into soil and let it grow?

I'm afraid that won't work with a parlor palm. Parlor palms are propagated by division. Unpot the plant and divide the rootmass by slicing through it with a sharp knife, making sure each division has at least one stem attached. Repot and you'll have new plants.
