When dwarf sunflowers bloom, how long does the flower stay open and look pretty?

It depends on the weather (rain and wind can wreak havoc, and hot weather speeds up the maturing process), but I would estimate anywhere from a few days to a week. As a cut flower, they should last up to a week. If you want a steady supply of flowers, consider planting one of the branching dwarfs, like 'Teddy Bear'.
