I have an apple tree with little green apples with a slight pink tint in my back yard. When are they ready to pick and eat.

I can't tell the variety from your description so I can only give you general information. Apples begin ripening in New Mexico the last week of August and continue through October, depending upon variety. I would wait until September, then pick one to see if it is ripe. Or, you can wait until the apples begin falling to the ground. At that point, your apples will be ripe and ready to eat.
