|I read your answer on roses with black spot, but as we have been having so much rain, it is impossible to have the rose bushes dry out- the plants have not gone to what looks like rotten ends on the stems. What can we do to save what were beautiful yellow and mixed color rose bushes?|
During such an incredibly wet year as you all are having there is little to do except to spray on a regular basis. Normally spraying every two weeks would suffice but on susceptible varieties you may need to spray once a week, especially after a couple of days of rain. You might consider planting roses that are very resistant to black spot and other diseases. The following web site includes many great plants for the Austin/San Antonio area including roses:
