We are currently in draught conditions and can only water twice a week (*we were down to once a week)Looking for flower suggestions that will get us through the Christmas Holidays... The front of the house faces North and it is HOT, HOT, HOT right now. Flowers will be put around Palm Trees and in front of Hedges, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Area is currently cleaned and ready to go! Just removed Impatience, looking for something that might last longer... Thanks

Claudia,

I would consider marigolds as they can take the heat and will bloom well. Any flower will need a little help with some watering to get established and then will be able to do okay on once or twice a week. Another good choice would be narrow leaved zinnia (Zinnia linearis) which comes in white, orange and golden yellow colored forms.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
