Can you grow them outdoors, and does Burpee carry them?

You can grow cyclamen in your climate, but the blooms are smaller than you see on the more tender species grown as houseplants. Plant them in light shade in a rich, well-drained, fertile soil. Plant tubers 6" apart and barely cover them, then top with mulch. Water them regularly after shoots appear. Burpee doesn't list them in the catalog, but Thompson & Morgan (; ph# 800/274-7333) has a good selection. Enjoy!
