You can grow cyclamen in your climate, but the blooms are smaller than you see on the more tender species grown as houseplants. Plant them in light shade in a rich, well-drained, fertile soil. Plant tubers 6" apart and barely cover them, then top with mulch. Water them regularly after shoots appear. Burpee doesn't list them in the catalog, but Thompson & Morgan (www.thompson-morgan.com; ph# 800/274-7333) has a good selection. Enjoy!
