I wonder if your lemon tree has an infestation of spider mites? These tiny little pests can turn leaves yellow through their feeding. You might pick off a few of the leaves, seal them in a plastic baggie and take them to your cooperative extension office or well staffed nursery. Helpful folks there can identify the pests and suggest control strategies. Best wishes with your lemon tree!
