I have rose of sharons. I am moving. How can I take a piece from the tree that I have now to replant where I am moving to?

You can take tip cuttings now and root them for planting in your new yard. Simply cut 4-6" growing tips from the plant, strip the lower leaves, dip the cut end in rooting hormone and set the cuttings in moistened seed starting mix. Drape plastic over the top to keep humidity in and set the pot in a shady spot outdoors. The cuttings will root in 2-3 weeks. Best wishes with your move!
