If I prune the top of my Mexican fire plant will it split and give me two spikes or will I just not get any flowering at all?

Mexican Fire Plant (Euphorbia cyathophora) looks like a poinsettia and if you pinch the tips of the stems out it should branch out and become bushy. Pinching should be done in early spring, so it's a little late in the season to be pruning. If you do it now, it may not flower for you. Next spring, pinch out the very tips of the branches and you should get lots of color later in the summer.
