BROWN SPOTS ON LEAVES - Knowledgebase Question

Question by AGGIEL44

Peace lily - some leaves partially turn brown - I thought it was too hot outside on the patio so I brought them it but that didn't help - neither did giving them less water. I also have a Hawaiian orchid that does this also.

The brown areas could be due to older drought injury or sunburn or more likely to some type of bacterial or fungal infection. Keeping the soil too soggy wet is also detrimental and can lead to such problems. Try to maintain moist but not soggy soil, clip away infected foliage and give the plants decent light levels but not direct sun. They should be fine with a little time and TLC.
