The simplest way to propagate a rabbit foot fern is to take a cutting from a rhizome -- look for a section that has both roots and some foliage. Cut it off to separate it from the mother plant and set on top of dampened soil mix, tuck roots under the soil. If necessary, use a bent paper clip or other bit of wire to pin it to the soil to hold it upright until it takes hold. You can also divide the mother plant into sections, each section should have roots and corresponding top growth. Make sure the new plants have ample humidity while they recover.
