I have a sunflower , and i want to know how long would it take for the actual flower to bloom. I planted it in May. Would it survive the winter?

The large or mammoth sunflowers can take between about 75 and 90 days before they bloom. The seeds will ripen after the flower petals fade. This is an annual and lives only one season. To enjoy sunflowers next year you will have to replant seeds again in the spring. Enjoy your sunflower!
