|A number of my bulbs are coming up early due to the unseasonably warm weather we have had in the northeast. Now we are getting a cold snap. Will the cold weather damage the sprouting bulbs? Can I do anything to stop/fix and damage?
|You shouldn't have any problems. The shoots may be nipped by the cold, but early-blooming hardy bulbs are prepared for this and have more buds waiting. If the flowers are up and open, they may be damaged, but if it's just the leaves I wouldn't worry. Just wait patiently until a few warm days, and voila! Instant color! You'll find this happens more years than it doesn't!
