I see information that says autumn is a good time to plant trees. Is autumn, August, September and October?

Autumn can be as early as August or as late as October, depending upon where you live. In your region, you can plant in late August or early September. The weather is cool then, which will allow the roots several weeks to become established before cold weather arrives.
