|I am getting ready to plant my first vegetable garden. I did a soil test and the Ph is 6 and lacks nutrients. I'm ready to pull all the weeds, amend the soil and till the dirt. In a week I should be ready to plant seeds. I want to plant anything and everthing so I was wondering which veggies go first and which next?|

Sounds like your soil preparation will get your new plants off to a good start. A soil pH of 6.0 will be just fine for most plants; all you need to do at this point is add organic matter and plant your seeds. You can begin with cool-season crops like spinach, radish, lettuce; anything that doesn't require a long, hot summer. Then in May after the soil and air temperatures have warmed, you can begin to plant warm-season crops like tomatoes, corn, peppers, squash, etc. Check the back of the seed packet to see how many days to harvest. Warm season crops will take the longest to mature and will need the warmest temperatures of the summer. You can make successive plantings (at two week intervals) so that your veggies don't all mature at once, and that will give you fresh veggies to harvest all summer long.
