I have a healthy Kentucky Bluegrass lawn and lately there are circles of dead grass developing. Circles are roughly a foot in diameter. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I have a sprinkler system and regularly fertilize with Scotts products.

The most common cause for brown circles in lawns is dog urine. Excess salts build up and kill the grass, roots and all. I'd rake the dead grass out of the affected areas and reseed. Grass seed germinates in 7-10 days and by this fall, the grass will look uniformly green and lush.

Best wishes with your landscape!
