I have a schefflera. I have had it for about 2 months. Suddenly and out of no where the leaves are turning gray brown and falling off. Even the stems are falling off. It looks very wilted. What's causing this?

Schefflera can exhibit these symptoms if the roots have suffered through inconsistent soil moisture or from over-fertilization. They can also show wilting and grayish leaves if the soil is overly wet. I don't know if your plant has suffered root rot; if so it will die; if not, it may survive. You might want to repot it in fresh potting soil and water it throughly, then allow the top inch of soil dry out before watering it again. Hope it recovers!
