I recently transplanted three Rose of Sharon bushes. One has no leaves on it but was beautiful when I transplanted it. What happened? The other one looks like it's dead. I watered them. Will they spring back?

Sounds as though your plants are showing signs of transplant stress. Many plants react this way but it can be more serious when you plant in mid summer. Usually the plants snap out of it, especially if you water deeply on a regular basis. Give your plants some time to adjust and establish their root systems. They should begin to produce new foliage as soon as they're accustomed to their new growing sites.

Best wishes with your garden!
