I have a strawberry pot that has strawberry plants growing abundantly in it. I'm not sure what to do with it this winter. Should I remove the strawberry plants and plant them in the ground, or just cover the pot with plastic, take it in the garage or basement?

Most strawberry jars will not withstand freezing (the terra cotta clay shatters) so you will need to move it to a sheltered place such as an unheated garage (above freezing, but below 45 degrees.) Water only enough to keep the soil from drying out completely. Take it back outside in the spring so it can wake up naturally with the season. The plants will benefit by staying outside as long as possible, so you might begin by leaving it outside on mild days and protecting it at night, Good luck!
