|My mango tree has been consistently watered by us and mother nature. We fertilized in the spring, summer and just two weeks ago. It has grown about a foot. When should we expect that it will gain height and start producing fruit? Is there more we should be doing? Seems a little slow in growing compared to other trees we have seen. FYI: The mango was planted very close to where our orange tree was located.|
The mango will probably start growing faster in time. It is not unusual for a young plant to spend some time getting established and then increase its growth rate gradually. Make sure it is getting plenty of light, full sun is best, and that you continue to provide moderate soil moisture and periodic fertilizing.
