|An evergreen dogwood will grow well in the area you describe and a fast growth rate is normal for this tree. Cornus Capitata can grow 20' tall and wide so it may be crowded unless you keep it trimmed. The roots are not considered invasive. Dogwoods can drop a lot of litter (fallen leaves, flower petals and strawberry-looking fruit) so they aren't always recommended for use near a patio, but the beauty of the tree when it is in bloom might make the litter more tolerable. In general, an evergreen dogwood will retain most of its leaves all year around, but in an especially cold winter, it could drop them all. Hope this information is helpful!|
