I recently purchased about 50 packets of flower, fruit, & vegetable seeds. Now I am searching for an exisiting spreadsheet that already includes the essential seed planting information (e.g., when to plant seeds in peat pot; germination conditions [warm/cold; sun/darkness; water/drier soil], when to thin and transplant into larger (2.5

Yes, what you describe makes sense, but I don't know of a source for the database. You may have to make your own, or you might want to contact local Master Gardeners. They may have already put something like that together. Here's a website with lots of resource information from the Cooperative Extension office. If it doesnt' contain the info you seek, you might try contacting your local Cooperative Extension office, which will put you in touch with local Master Gardeners.
