Last year I planted 12 daisy gardenias. Even though I have given these plants extra iron and acid plant food they have few leaves and half of the leaves are yellow. How can I get these plants to have more green leaves. There are some buds on the plants but not as many as when I purchased them last year.

Supplemental iron and acidified plant food should green up the foliage. The only other thing that might be causing yellowing foliage is overly wet soils. Soggy soils can suffocate plants. Or a feast or famine of moisture (soggy then dry) can cause the symptoms you describe. Try to keep the soil evenly moist. Hope this information helps!
