Can you tell me my last frost date so I can start sowing seeds indoors? |
New Jersey's last frost date is usually sometime between April 10 and April 30--since you weren't more specific with your location I can't be any more specific than that. Southern and coastal areas will be on the earlier side, inland and northern on the later side. (It is only an approximation anyway.) You should be able to start most of your seeds any time now. Generally, start tomato seeds 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date; peppers, eggplant, and many flowers can be started slightly earlier. I'd wait a week or two for squash, for example. |
