Outside Solar lights - Knowledgebase Question

Lakeland, Fl

I am really new at gradening and this year during the few weeks of frost/freeze we had here in Florida, really hurt my flowers, even though I covered them up. I was wondering if I had solar lights ranging from low to high around my flowers, is this even heat to ward off the frost from hurting my flowers? If not, then how do I save them next year?

Although the solar lights sound like a good solution, they simply won't give off enough heat to ward off frost damage. Not all plants are frost sensitive so you might want to look into replacing your most tender plants with those that are frost tolerant. Covering will generally work, but not for very tender plants and not if the frost/freeze is extensive (3 or more days). Wish there were something more we could suggest.
