|I just bought some Azaleas and the tag says to space them 2-6' apart and that they grow to be 2-6' tall and 2-6' high. Is that 2 to 6' or 2 1/2'? Also, I've heard that they should be planted in partial shade but the tag says sun to partial sun, will full afternoon sun hurt the plants? Thank You|
|Azaleas grow and flower best if they receive shade from hot afternoon sunshine so plant yours where they will get morning sun and afternoon shade. Unless you want to grow a hedge with your azaleas, space them 4-5' apart so they'll each have ample room to grow without crowding. If you want them to grow into a solid hedge, plant them about 3' apart.
Best wishes with your new azaleas!
