I live in mid-atlantic zone and was wondering if begonias are hardy enough to leave in the ground all winter or should they be dug up? They will be planted under a long overhang next to the house. |
Begonias would be considered annuals outdoors in your growing region, even under the protection of overhanging eaves. They cannot take temperatures much below 40F. I'd leave it in a pot and sink the pot in the ground to enjoy all summer long, then bring the pot indoors over the fall and winter months. Best wishes with your landscape! |
