|I have a dead patch in a healthy fescue lawn and it apprears another patch is developing. Nothing wants to grow there. I have laid a patch of sod in past and after doing well for awhile it died as well. What could be causing, insects, brown patch and how can can I remedy?
|If you've replaced the sod once and it's acting the same way, I would suspect a soil problem. Could be that it isn't draining well enough or it could be harboring some disease pathogen. I'd dig out the dead area, plus several inches of soil. Replace the soil with fresh soil from another area of the garden and then either reseed or resod the area. This should take care of the problem.
Best wishes with your lawn!
