My Double Impatiens seem to get funky/slimy blooms shortly after I get them home from the greenhouse. Do they like to be very dry between waterings? Thank you for your prompt reply. |
Impatiens like rich, moist, well draining soils. Water them regularly so they don't dry out. To avoid the slimy flowers, avoid overhead watering - water the soil rather than the tops of the plants. I know you can't divert the rain, but you can try keep the tops of the plants dry when you apply water. This should take care of the problem. Best wishes with your impatiens! |
