We just bought 3 cistena plum trees to put in our mid-Michigan landscape to help conceal the neighbors trash all over their yard. What is the growth rate? What can I expect to have by the end of August? they are just under 3 ft now.

Purple Leaf Sand cherry (cistena) is reported to have a fast growth rate - typically 12-24" per year. Of course growth rate depends upon the growing environment and the care your plants will be getting, and.... it will take a full growing season for your new plants to become established in their new homes. So I wouldn't expect exceptional growth by August, but by next summer they will be almost double in size.

Best wishes with your new plants.
