What can I do to get rid of worms eating the leaves and vegetables from my plants? Look all over the internet and the only thing I could find is pick them by hand and smash them some say soapy water, can you please help me.

If by "worms" you mean caterpillars, there's hope. Use the botanical insecticide called Bt (bacillus thuringensis) sold as Dipel. It targets caterpillars but doesn't bother beneficial insects.

Best wishes with your veggie garden!
