I got a purple mum for mother's day and I put it in the ground, when it was done blooming I cut off the spent blooms, will it re-bloom?
Thanks again for your help,
|Your chrysanthemum was forced to bloom out of season - a common practice for florist's - and while it will bloom again, it may take a year or two for it to revert back to its normal bloom time. Blooming in chrysanthemums is triggered by long nights and short days, which is typical of autumn weather. When yours gets back in sync, it should bloom at the right time of year.
Best wishes with your mums!
