|I just recently put down some seed in the bare areas of my yard. I'ts coming up very slowly and sparse. Is there some sort of booster I can apply ?? I appreciate and look forward to your response.|
|Grass seed usually germinates in 7-10 days so if yours is not coming up lush and thick you may want to lightly rake the bare areas and then reseed. The biggest problem with seeds sprouting is lack of moisture; quickly followed by birds feasting on your newly broadcast seed. To avoid both problems, sprinkle a light layer of peat moss over the seeds right after you sow them. The peat moss will help keep the seed bed moist and will also hide the seeds from hungry birds.|
Best wishes with your lawn!
