|I have a roebellini palm tree. It is at least 8 years old. The fronds are yellowing. I have had to cut off two of the stalks. What could be causing this?|
Your palm tree may be suffering from a soil moisture extreme. Both soggy wet as well as dry soil can cause root loss followed by yellowing of the top growth. Dig down a few inches and feel the soil to determine how often and how much you need to water. It is best to allow it to dry out just a little before watering again. It is also a good idea to fertilize the plant periodically I suggest using a site you plant food such as Miracle Grow following the label rate. This provides readily available nutrients quickly.
