|aphids or something is killing our cabbage and broccoli it has brown leaves and holes. help|
|Aphids do feed on cabbage and broccoli leaves but they don't leave holes because they suck the juices from the plant. But they do cause wrinkled, off-color leaves. I suspect that cabbage worms are making holes in the leaves. Cabbage worms are green and hard to see but if you have white moths flying around your crops, your plants probably have a population of cabbage worms. They leave holes in the leaves. Fortunately, they are easy to control with a product called Bt (bacillus thuringensis) which is sold as Dipel. This product is safe to use on vegetable crops and it does not harm beneficial insects. Apply according to label directions and you should be able to control the pests.
Best wishes with your veggies!
