cutting back peonies - Knowledgebase Question

How soon can I cut back the foliage on my peonies? They are crowding other flowers in that bed and I can't move the other flower bulbs until fall.

Peony foliage should remain on the plant until it dies down with the first frost. If you cut it down prematurely it will affect its ability to bloom next year. I think I'd just allow the overcrowded conditions this summer and move things in the fall after the foliage has died down naturally.
