|How soon can I cut back the foliage on my peonies? They are crowding other flowers in that bed and I can't move the other flower bulbs until fall.|
|Peony foliage should remain on the plant until it dies down with the first frost. If you cut it down prematurely it will affect its ability to bloom next year. I think I'd just allow the overcrowded conditions this summer and move things in the fall after the foliage has died down naturally.
Best wishes with your garden!
