Orchids in Texas - Knowledgebase Question

I am moving to North Texas and have a few orchids that have been raised in South Florida. Is this going to damamge the plant in amyway due to the severe change in climate?

Katie,

Each orchid species has its particular requirements: shade, temperature, misting or not, etc. Try to provide this for your plants and they should do fine. There are a lot of orchid growers in the metroplex area of Texas. You will however have to bring the plants in for winter.
