My new crepe myrtle bloomed a beautiful white last year all over. This year it hasn't bloomed at all. Can you tell me why? I just don't understand why it didn't bloom. I planted it as a twig about two years ago and now it is fairly large. No blooms this year.

Crape myrtle develops flowers on new shoots. If your tree didn't produce new stems and branches, either due to weather or late pruning, it won't flower. You can prune it back a bit now and it should have enough time to develop new growth and bloom later this summer. Early next spring prune your tree back to encourage new wood and it should bloom right on schedule for you.
