I just ordered an Earth Box (marked down because so late in the season I suppose). I live in Winston-Salem, NC (central piedmont area). Is it possible to have a late summer/fall

There are lots of things you can plant in July and August for harvest before cold weather sets in. Here are some suggestions, along with planting dates and varieties that grow well in your area:
Beets; July 15 to Aug. 15; Ruby Queen, Early Wonder, Red Ace, Pacemaker II.
Broccoli; July 15 to Aug. 15; DeCicco, Packman, Premium Crop, Green Duke, Emperor.
Brussels sprouts; July 1 to 15; Long Island Improved, Jade Cross Hybrid.
Cabbage (plants); Aug 1 to 15; Round Dutch, Early Jersey Wakefield, Red Express, Red Rookie, Sweetbase.
Cabbage, Chinese; Aug. 1 to 15; Pak Choi, Mei Ching, Jade Pagoda, China Pride.
Carrots; July 1 to 15; Danvers Half Long, Spartan Bonus, Little Finger, Thumbelina, Scarlet Nantes.
