Sweet peas are happiest growing up a trellis, fence or post. In a pinch, you can even let them grow up a tree trunk! You'll need to train them to stay put so use some string or something the tendrils can wrap around. They're climbers, not hangers so they won't be happy in a hanging basket. Since you already have one in a hanging basket you can just set the basket on the ground and let the sweet peas trail along the ground. Enjoy your flowers!
