My daughter is getting married Nov. 1st and wants the flowers to be native - like daises, small sunflowers, etc. What can I grow between now and then? I'm a veggie grower but I think I can do flowers if I know specific kinds that will go in Bastrop, Texas.

Diane,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

There are not a lot of fall wildflowers in your area. Some that you might consider finding alone the roadside include goldenrod, Maximillian sunflower and tickseed, although November is late for most of these. You may also find some Autumn aster in bloom that late although it is doubtful. I think you all may need to rethink the native and November combination.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
