|I planted a wisteria about 6 weeks ago so it would climb our arbor and seemd well. Now it has withered completely and looks dead or dying. I scraped some bark and there seems to be some green there. Should I plant anotherone now or wait until fall. Thanks Mary Alice from SC.|
|Plants can suffer from transplant shock and that's what it sounds like is happening with your wisteria. Since you found green tissue in the stems, they're still alive and that's a good sign. I'd give it the benefit of the doubt and allow it to grow for a few months more before giving up on it. Be sure to water deeply once each week and try pruning the stems down to encourage healthy new growth.|
Best wishes with your wisteria!
