|We just bought a house in Fort Worth Tx which is in a new community. The small tree they planted in the front yard was planted in Jan. 08, we got the house in March and there were no blooms, then in May it started to bloom and now all the leaves are brown. We have watered it weekly and used plant food around the tree. We really didn't know what to do with it. Is there any way to bring it back to life or should we just replace the tree? We are thinking about a short palm tree. Would that be a good choice? Thank you.|
|Wish I could offer some help with your new tree, but without knowing what kind of tree it is, I really don't know how to guide you. It's possible the tree is just trying to adjust to its new home and will establish over the winter months and look terrific next spring. If it were my tree, I think I'd try to nurse it along at least until next spring. If it still doesn't look healthy, then it might be time to replace it.
Royal palms or Windmill palms are among the hardiest so if you decide to replace the tree in your new yard with a palm, choose either Royal or Windmill.
