Peach Tree - Knowledgebase Question

A large branch broke from my peach tree due to the weight of the fruit. This could have been prevented if I thinned the fruit out sooner. Despite losing one of the larger branches, can this tree be saved?

Cleanly cut the injured area where the branch splintered and the tree should heal itself. This winter you may want to prune the tree to make it more symmetrical (not heavy with branches on one side). Next year, start thinning when the fruit are about walnut-sized to prevent this from happening again. You will have fewer, but bigger peaches.

Good luck with your tree!
