|i have three perennial mums that came up in the spring and have continued to bloom all summer, but i don't remember if i cut them back last year or not. do you recommend cutting them down or waiting until the foliage dies and then cutting it down. also, do you just pull off the actual dead bloom or are you supposed to clip it further down?
|You can allow the stems and foliage to die down with a hard frost and then pull or cut them away from the plant. As for deadheading, just snipping off the spent flower is all you need to do. Enjoy your mums!|
