My six year old is obsessed with the idea of finding a four leafed clover. Is there a source for seeds? Can clover be contained in his flower bed?

I am pretty sure that the four leafed clover is a kind of mutant--most are three-leaved, but once in a while you find one with four leaves. It's the rarity that makes them special! I don't think seed would be available, I could not locate any. Perhaps your child would be happy with oxalis, it is the plant folks commonly call "shamrock" and does resemble a four leafed clover. Oxalis is available from Bluestone Perennials at 1-800-852-5243 or you can try The Garden Store at 1-800-582-8649.
